1950 was a ear of tenison and continued till the 60s. After World War 2 the Korean war started with north Korea attacking South Korea. But the UN came to save the World from world war 3, Canada also helped out by giving them 1,000 soliders and boats. Beacuse Russia was backing up North Korea and USA backing up South, but the UN wanted peace between them. In the end everythin went back with where the split of the country went back to place all those people dead for no reason. Since USA, Britain, France, Russia split Berlin because they were scared that the will start another war. But Russia wanted Gremany so Russia put up a blockaid to stop food coming in so East Berlin died of hungry. But the USA, Britain, France started to use planes to drive the food over.

After that West Berlin was very poor because Russia was taking everything. But East Berlin was getting rich so people from West berlin were moving to East Berlin. But then Russia put a wall so the West Berlin don't leave to go to East Berlin anymore. So the cold war stared with USA, Britain, france facing Russia and Russia face them ready for a war. But to increase the tension the Suez Canal Crusies started with Egypt taking the Canal from UK, and France. Once USA, and Russia found out the also joined Russia backing up Egypt and USA backing up UK and France.

Russia saying if USA comes in this they will launch Atom bombs at them. With USA they had the same response for Russia. So the World was on the edge to a nuclear war!
