1960s

The 1960s was a year to remeber for Canada. From FLQ terisam, President Kenndy getting killed, Cuban missile Crisis, Baby Boom. For teenager to show who they are. I'll start with the Cuban missile Crisis, the missile Crisis helped push the world closer to a nuclear war. Russia was sending missiles to Cuba and maked station with missile launcher that can aim anywhere to USA and Canada. But USA also had missiles ready to attack Russia by keeping missiles ready in Turkey.

But USA invited Russia's President to the white house and settle the fight between each other if Russia took the missiles back then USA would take there missiles back from Turkey. After World War 2 most soliders got married andonce so many people married there was alot of children. And once the the babies grew up the teenagers were born. They were trying to be dirfferent fomr there parents. And once teenager was born music got even more popular. With the king of rock and roll on top everything was going great. But in Quebec terrsiom started by the FLQ.

The kidnapped a british worker a, trying to get there FLQ partners back but the goverment of Canada did agree to there damands. But the british work surved and the FLQ got cought trying to make Quebec nation of its own. USA was facing lots of tension with USA sending man to Vietnam. Because Vietnam was trying to change to be communist with the comm and of Ho and they did with USA going back home. But between all this in USA everything was really bad, with this President Kenndy got killed 1960 was a year to rember. After Canada's 100 birthday Quebec joind the Canada to become a whole nation.

One of the shocking things that happened back then is a person named Igor Gpuzenko a Russian spy. That told the goverment of Canada that there spys all around Canada and other countries sent by Russia. This made Canada not trust Russia anymore.

1950s

1950 was a ear of tenison and continued till the 60s. After World War 2 the Korean war started with north Korea attacking South Korea. But the UN came to save the World from world war 3, Canada also helped out by giving them 1,000 soliders and boats. Beacuse Russia was backing up North Korea and USA backing up South, but the UN wanted peace between them. In the end everythin went back with where the split of the country went back to place all those people dead for no reason. Since USA, Britain, France, Russia split Berlin because they were scared that the will start another war. But Russia wanted Gremany so Russia put up a blockaid to stop food coming in so East Berlin died of hungry. But the USA, Britain, France started to use planes to drive the food over.

After that West Berlin was very poor because Russia was taking everything. But East Berlin was getting rich so people from West berlin were moving to East Berlin. But then Russia put a wall so the West Berlin don't leave to go to East Berlin anymore. So the cold war stared with USA, Britain, france facing Russia and Russia face them ready for a war. But to increase the tension the Suez Canal Crusies started with Egypt taking the Canal from UK, and France. Once USA, and Russia found out the also joined Russia backing up Egypt and USA backing up UK and France.

Russia saying if USA comes in this they will launch Atom bombs at them. With USA they had the same response for Russia. So the World was on the edge to a nuclear war! But thanks to Lester B, he solved the crusies aan Britain and France got there money back and still could use the Canal and the owner was Egypt. Canada's Prime Minster Louis St.laurent and President Kenndy bulid a Canal in Canada named the St.laurent Canal. Canada and USA were getting better partners and Canada left UK. Music in the 1950s was not has big has in the 1960s after you finish school you started work right away and married right away. The fashion were long dress for women and suits for men. One slang that I know is for jerk is "nerd" or "square".

World War 2 Timelines, Holocaust, Children

I will talk about some events that i wrote down for my timeline. Like Hitler taking back the parts of Gremany, that was taken away from Gremany. Russia signing a Treaty with Gremany that they wont attack each other. When Hitler took over most of Europe, and then taking over France. But before they toke over Frnace Britain tryed to help Frnace but, since France put all the gun power right on the boared of France and Gremany France could not help Britain. And Gremany started to also attack Britain by attacking there cities but Britain was doing the same attacking Gremany. Japan and USA alos joined the war. Japan attacked USA's Pearl Harbour, forcing USA to join the war. The thing that turned the whole WW2 around was Gremany attacking Russia breaking the Treay they signed. But that was a mistake they would pay for by getting most of there army destroyed. And because Gremany just opened another front. So Hitler was fighting a war on boths sides of Gremany making them lose the war agian. Japan surrend after Gremany gave because of USA dropping two Atomic bombs on Japans two biggest cities ending the war.

The Holocaust was going on when the war was on. Gremany were blaming the Jews that the conditions Gremany were in was all there fault. So there for they started to round up the Jews and take them to the city Warsaw and put them in the ghettos. The ghettos was a very bad plce most Jew were dieing of sickness, most of them tryed to esacape but got shot and killed. Then Hitler opened factories for the Jews, this factories were for the dead bodies of the Jews. It was so bad you can't even image it.

The Children in the War were getting recruited by Hilter but not every kid. He was looking for kids with blond hair, and blue eyes thinking that these children are the strongest of all children.

1939 - 1945 japan Canadians, paying for WW2

In World War 2 once Japan entered the war USA and Canada did not trust Japanese anymore so they would find all of them and round them up and send them to the Rockies. And keep them away from the sea so they could not send information to Japan. The Japanese Canadians were given a choice stay in the Rockies or leave Canada forever and go back to Japan. Plus they had lost there homes and the boats were they would work on they lost everything.

When you have a war there is lots of money you need to support your army without money how would the get ammo, fuel, tanks, boats all that impotant stuff. Luckly the whole county Canada would help out buy buying Victory bonds, Taxes, and Rationing and many more. This all would help out alot. Rationing would be helpful because everyone would be on a limit on buying stuff for there selfs. Taxe money would alos help out alot buy using it to buy ammo, guns and many other stuff they needed. And Victory bonds were a beneift for both the country and the civlians by buying a bond your money would be with the goverment for 5 years and double each year. So after 5 years you could go and get your money back.

1939 - 1945 Causes and leaders of WW2

The causes to world war 2 were many stuff like the league of nations failing to stop japan invading china, and Italy invading Ethiopue. The other thing that caused the war to happen was the Treaty of Versailles. The treaty said that Germany could not take back the lands that were taken away from them. Gremany had to say that the WW1 was all there fault, and pay 30 billion dollars to repair the other countries. Because of this Hitler rised up to power and take over Gremany.

The leaders at that time were for Canada it was Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King, for Britain it was Winston Churchil. For Russia it was Joseph Stalin, and for Gremany it was Hitler.

1930s: The Dirty Thirties

The 1930s was a very ,very, bad time for everyone, becouse of the GREAT DEPRESSION going on. People were losing jobs fast, losing there houses fast. They were losing lots of others stuff like money its like there lives getting taken away. Some people were lucky that they still had there houses, but most who didnt would live on the roads. Sleeping on the roads, with newspaper. The politics of the 1930s were really worried about the Great Depression. They were trying to slove the problem but things got worse for them by WW2. The plan our politics had was to just leave the Depression going on and maybe everything will get better. But since all this was happeing cause the economic was doing really bad everyone had to go through really bad times.

1920s: The Roaring Twenties

Women in the 1920s were determined to get what they wanted. There countless organizations formed by women around the world including the National American Woman Suffrage Association (NAWSA). The economy was at its highest in the 1920s, the raging stock market was hailed by many as evidence of a "New Era" of economic fundamentals. North America was one of the richest places to live in with a great life style. The best music of the 1920s was Jazz. Lots of people were shopping to be in the 1920s style. Since the Tweenties was so big everyone was changing there style. And after they won the Person's case everything went all the way up for women all thanks to the five women who won the case. There names were Henrietta Muir Edwards, Nellie McClung, Louise McKinney, Emily Murphy, and Irene Parlby.
